Make a solar flare alert system
A cool thing to do with Open Data: A gadget that lights up when solar activity changes, for example during an eruption. With near-realtime data from the GOES satellite and a microchip. We share the code and look forward to creative further developments of the gadget.

Once the software has been uploaded, the solar flare alarm lamp works on a wireless commection.
This is how the breadboard-based version is put together. No soldering is required.
PCB-based version: a little soldering required.
